Brooklin Ashburn Myrtle Lions Club

The Brooklin Ashburn Myrtle (BAM) Lions Club is a Lions Clubs International chapter serving Brooklin, Ashburn and Myrtle in the Town of Whitby, chartered in May 2009. The club holds business meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, September through June, at 7:00 p.m. at the Brooklin Legion (2nd floor; chair lift available), plus a monthly social event. Guided by Lions' service framework — vision, hunger, the environment, pediatric cancer and diabetes — members run community projects and fundraisers such as Christmas in the Village activities and book sales.

Rotary Club of Whitby

The Rotary Club of Whitby is a local chapter of Rotary International, the global service organization of professionals committed to 'Service Above Self'. The club meets on Wednesdays at the Whitby Public Library, alternating 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. sessions in a hybrid in-person/Zoom format, with a social evening on 5th Wednesdays. Members run hands-on community projects including the Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup, Kids Against Hunger meal packing, Meals on Wheels volunteering, and an annual $1,500 bursary for Whitby and Brooklin graduating secondary students, alongside international service such as clean-water projects and hospital support in rural Zimbabwe through the club's charitable arm, the Neil Murkar Charitable Foundation.

Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise

The Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise is a breakfast Rotary club chartered in Whitby on February 2, 1988. Members meet weekly at 7:00 a.m. at the Whitby Legion for fellowship and service under Rotary's motto 'Service Above Self'. The club organizes and hosts Whitby Ribfest and Savour the Flavour, sponsors the Whitby Junior Firefighter program, volunteers at St Vincent's Kitchen soup kitchen, and runs trail clean-ups, food-bank support, youth exchanges, mentorship and scholarships locally, plus hands-on development projects in the Dominican Republic and Laos. The club also built the Rotary Outdoor Gym on the Whitby waterfront and gazebos at Rotary Sunrise Lake Park.

Royal Canadian Legion - Brooklin Br152

The Royal Canadian Legion — Brooklin Branch 152 is housed in one of Brooklin's most recognizable heritage structures, built in 1882 as the Brooklin House Hotel at the corner of Baldwin and Campbell Streets. Chartered in 1929 by local First World War veterans and revived in the late 1960s, the branch serves veterans, serving military and RCMP members and their families, promotes Remembrance, and rents its event room to the community. Weekly activities include Thursday pick-up darts, Sunday bowling and Food Fridays, with an outdoor patio in season. Hours: Tue–Thu 3:00pm–11:00pm; Fri–Sat 1:00pm–11:00pm (Mon and Sun not listed on the branch site).

Royal Canadian Legion Whitby - Branch 112

The Royal Canadian Legion Whitby — Branch 112 is a branch of The Royal Canadian Legion, the organization dedicated to honouring the service of Canadian and Commonwealth veterans. The branch serves as a community gathering place supporting veterans and their families through advocacy, outreach programs and youth leadership activities. Regular member activities include darts on Mondays, euchre on Thursdays, checkmate on Saturdays and bingo on Sundays. The Optimist Club of Brooklin, Ontario

The Optimist Club of Brooklin, Ontario (Optimist International club #47025, chartered September 28, 1987) is a volunteer service club providing service, recognition and guidance to children and youth in the Brooklin area of Whitby. Members of all ages volunteer to run youth programs including the Junior Optimist Club, annual post-secondary bursaries, an oratorical public-speaking scholarship contest, youth dances and community events such as Breakfast with Santa and the Easter Eggs-travaganza. The club meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Brooklin Community Centre & Library, 8 Vipond Road.

Whitby Chamber of Commerce

The Whitby Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit business organization established in 1928 to unite local professionals, advocate for their rights, compile resources and do business together. Through connection, learning and leadership it fosters a thriving business community, hosting more than 80 events throughout the year. The Chamber presents the annual Peter Perry & Business Achievement Awards gala, including the Peter Perry Award — Whitby's citizen-of-the-year honour, awarded since 1955 and named for town founder Peter Perry.

Whitby Historical Society

The Whitby Historical Society is a charitable, non-profit organization founded in 1967 to promote public interest in the history and heritage of Whitby and area through community outreach and educational programs for all ages. It operates the Lynde House Museum — offering interpretive tours and living-history activities — and maintains the Warren General Store, Clarissa Lynde's Heritage Kitchen Garden, an extensive artifact collection and an archive of Whitby's written and pictorial history. Programs include a monthly Tea and History Speakers series, History in the Park, Live History Theatre and children's museum camps. Museum hours: Monday 10:30am – 4:00pm; Tuesday 10:30am – 4:00pm; Wednesday Closed; Thursday 10:30am – 4:00pm; Friday 10:30am – 4:00pm; Saturday 11:30am – 4:00pm; Sunday Closed.

Whitby Lions Club

The Whitby Lions Club is a Whitby chapter of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service-club organization. The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 7:15 p.m., September through June, in the 2nd Floor Large Meeting Room of the Iroquois Park Sports Centre. Members run local fundraisers and service projects including an annual New Year's Dinner & Dance, an eyeglass collection program, and a club house at the local Safety Village.
