Associations & Advocacy

Uxbridge Scott Agricultural Society

The Uxbridge-Scott Agricultural Society is a not-for-profit corporation formed under the Agricultural and Horticultural Societies Act of Ontario, whose registered trade name is the Uxbridge Fair. With roots going back to 1862, the Society hosts the annual Uxbridge Fall Fair on the weekend after Labour Day at Elgin Park in Uxbridge; the 2026 fair runs September 11 to 13. The fair celebrates local agriculture with horticulture, homecraft and livestock competitions, a truck and tractor pull, demolition derby, horse shows, a cruise-in car show, midway rides and live entertainment, drawing about eight thousand visitors and a thousand exhibitors each year. The organization is governed by an elected board of directors and more than two hundred and fifty volunteers who staff some thirty-five committees, managing everything from entries to grounds. Members meet at the annual general meeting each year, and new volunteers and exhibitors are welcome to take part in the community's signature country fair.
