The Uxbridge & District Lions Club has served the Uxbridge community since its charter in 1974, operating as a local chapter of Lions Clubs International under District A-16. The volunteer club meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. and runs community fundraisers whose proceeds are returned to local causes, including its road toll events, the Elgin Park food booth open from mid-May to mid-September, the annual Christmas basket program for families in need, free vision and hearing screening for local schoolchildren, and support for Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, Uxbridge Hospital, and many other local charities. Membership is by invitation and community members can also take part as volunteer Friends of Lions. Prospective members are invited to email the club to attend a meeting and learn more about its work.

100 Men of Scugog

100 Men of Scugog is a charitable giving circle of local men supporting Scugog-area charities. Members gather for one-hour meetings at the Port Perry Legion, where three local charities each give a five-minute presentation and answer questions; members then vote and each writes a $100 cheque directly to the winning charity. Every dollar goes straight to local charity — there are no committees, no bank account and no fees. Founded in January 2015, the group celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025 and has raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars for Scugog-area charities to date, including creating a bursary for Durham College students. New members are welcome at quarterly meetings.

41 Port Perry Army Cadets

The 41 Port Perry Army Cadet Corps is a free youth program for ages 12 to 18, and the fourth-oldest cadet corps in Canada, formed in 1898 and affiliated with the Ontario Regiment. Cadets build leadership, citizenship and self-confidence through drill, marksmanship, music, fitness and community service, and the corps is active at Scugog community events including Remembrance Day ceremonies and parades.
