About This Business
The Town of Ajax Archives is the municipal archives service for Ajax, formally established by Ajax Council in February 2010 to collect and preserve archival materials documenting the growth and development of the town, including the Defence Industries Limited wartime years and HMS Ajax. Since 2022 the archives have been managed by Ajax Public Library. The collection includes photos, artifacts, records and history books, many digitised and viewable through the OurOntario website, with a display case in Town Hall and a display table in the Local History section of the Main Branch library. The archives are located at Town Hall and are not open to the public; research help and in-person visits (at the Main Branch, with at least one week's notice) are arranged through the Town's website. No public phone or business email is published on the official archives page, so none is listed; the cover image is a generic AI illustration clearly marked as such.
