About This Business
Tank Traders is Canada's national propane tank exchange leader and the only propane exchange company operating in both Canada and the USA. Through 12,000+ retail partners across Canada and the United States — including Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Ultramar, Home Hardware, Rona, Sobeys, Shell, Loblaws, 7-Eleven, Circle K, Mobil, Petro-Canada and others — customers exchange an empty BBQ propane tank for a full prefilled one with no wait at a filling station. The company sells over 4 million tanks a year through its retail partners and recycles more than 900,000 tanks from landfills annually. Products include refurbished 20 lb and 30 lb propane cylinders, new 30 lb, 100 lb and 20 lb tanks, a 2 lb exchangeable tank, and 24/7 self-serve exchange kiosks. Canadian-owned with its head office in La Salle, Manitoba, the company has 27 distribution centers across North America, 450+ employees, a 140+ truck fleet and coast-to-coast delivery service, and has been in business for 25 years.
