About This Business
Standard Poodles In Need, Rescue & Rehome (SPIN) is a Canadian non-profit, foster-based organization concerned with the welfare of homeless or unwanted standard poodles anywhere in Canada; when resources permit it also helps miniature poodles, toy poodles and poodle mixes. There is no shelter or kennel: all dogs live in loving foster homes where their disposition and needs are observed and any behavioural or training issues are worked on. Every dog entering the program is spayed or neutered, microchipped, brought up to date on vaccinations and has medical needs attended to before being offered for adoption. The adoption screening process is rigorous and designed to match each dog with a family that fits its personality and lifestyle. The Ajax branch of the rescue is listed with Adopt-a-Pet as serving the Ajax area, and the organization runs adoption events such as foster meet-and-greets. People can also support the rescue by fostering or volunteering.
