About This Business
St. George's Memorial Anglican Church is a parish of the Anglican Church of Canada in the Diocese of Toronto, serving Oshawa since 1843. Its landmark Gothic Revival building on Centre Street South, designed by architect Eden Smith and completed in 1924, houses the 15-bell Carswell Memorial Chime, played from the tower on Sunday mornings. Sunday worship is held at 8:15am as a said Holy Eucharist from the Book of Common Prayer, and at 10:00am as a sung Choral Eucharist from the Book of Alternative Services, with anointing and laying on of hands on the first Sunday of the month. The parish office is open Tuesday to Thursday, 9am to 2pm.
