Sri Swarnakarshana Gnana Bhairavar Kovil is a Hindu temple at 450 Taunton Road East in Oshawa, run by the Sanatana Dharma Society of Gnana Bhairavar. It is the only Hindu temple in the western hemisphere dedicated to God Kala Bhairava as the main deity in the altar, with a traditional prayer hall also housing Ganesha, Murugan, Shiva, Parvathi, Vishnu, Ayyappan, Navagraham, Nagathambiran and Hanuman. The temple is open daily from 8:30am to 1pm and 5:30pm to 9pm, offering daily poojas and bhajans, spiritual guidance and spiritual practices for children and adults. Special observances include the monthly Ashtami pooja during the waning moon and the annual October Bharani Natchathira special pooja with 64 Kumbha Abhishekam, as well as a chariot festival.
