About This Business
Scugog Dragon Boat Club is a community dragon boat club in Port Perry, turning humans into paddlers since 2022. The club is on the water from May to September and welcomes all ages, abilities and experience levels, providing all equipment with no experience necessary. Programmes include the 2026 Port Perry Dragon Boat Festival, the Scugog Islanders racing team (competing at regattas in Trenton, Toronto and Port Perry), the Scugog Lakers women's team, Friday Night Karma paddles for beginners with proceeds supporting local community groups, the Mother's Day Morning Paddle, a New Steers programme and team-building sessions. Registration for the 2026 season is open. The club's meeting point is behind the Durham Rowing Club boathouse at 8 Old Rail Lane, with the new dock located along the Waterfront Trail near the Port Perry Boat Launch.
