About This Business
The PROBUS Club of Uxbridge is a fellowship club for retired and semi-retired people whose mission is fun, social activities for retired residents of Uxbridge and surrounding areas. Members meet monthly on the second Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to noon for general meetings with guest speakers, plus interest groups and social events ranging from theatre outings and travel to book clubs and cards. Regular meetings are held at the Uxbridge Arena and Community Centre, 291 Brock St. West; in June, July and August the club meets at Udora Community Hall. Membership costs $65 for a full year from June 1 to May 31 (a $25 one-time badge fee plus $40 annual fee) or $45 for January to May, with renewals due June 1. An application form is available on the club website, and volunteers run the management team, house, speaker and social committees. The club is distinct from the Scugog-Uxbridge PROBUS Club, which meets in Port Perry.
