Port Perry Academy of Performing Arts (PPAPA) is a performing arts studio for youth based in Scugog and North Durham Region, founded in 2009 by owner and artistic director Melissa Karly. The academy is located at 16200 Old Simcoe Rd, Port Perry, in the Music Room at SA Cawker PS, and the owner also offers private lessons in her home studio in Blackstock, Ontario. Offerings include private music lessons tailored to each student's skill level — piano, guitar, voice, and concert band instruments — group musical theatre classes with training in voice, drama, and dance, and performance opportunities including musical festivals, concerts, and a year-end showcase. Classes do not run on Durham District School Board holidays, PD days, or snow days. The academy's motto is 'Where Young Performers Shine'.
