About This Business
Petticoat Creek Conservation Park is a 70-hectare lakeside conservation area on the shore of Lake Ontario in Pickering, managed by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). The park offers six reservable picnic sites and shelters, access to the Waterfront Trail - part of the 730-kilometre Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail - with panoramic views from the top of the bluffs, and a natural wildlife corridor along Petticoat Creek. The site is home to 69 types of trees, including willow, oak, birch and pine, and wildlife such as white-tail deer, fox, red-tailed hawk, rabbits and squirrels. During the summer months the park hosts day camps, and private functions can be booked through TRCA's visitor services team. Pets are welcome on a leash of no more than two metres (maximum three per family). Please note: the park's 49-year-old aquatic facility is permanently closed; TRCA is pursuing funding for a replacement leisure facility such as a splash pad. 2026 operating dates and hours, as published on the TRCA website: open daily May 2 to September 13, and weekends only September 19 to November 1.
