The John Howard Society of Durham Region is a non-profit charitable organization committed to fostering safer, healthier communities by addressing the root causes of crime. From its Oshawa main office at 75 Richmond Street West, plus offices in Whitby, Bowmanville and Courtice, it delivers prevention and intervention programmes across three areas: community and justice services such as anger management, parenting and counselling; employment, training and literacy services; and housing supports including youth residences.
