Jennifer Ashleigh Children's Charity (JenAsh) is a Uxbridge-based registered charity that has improved the quality of life for seriously ill children and their families for over 35 years. Founded in February 1990 by Norm Clements in memory of his granddaughter Jennifer Ashleigh Clements, who died of spinal muscular atrophy at six months old, the charity provides timely financial support to families caring for children in medical crisis - stepping in when love is not enough. To date it has helped more than 18,500 children across Ontario, covering urgent expenses such as travel to and from hospital, accommodations so families can remain close during hospital stays, and medical equipment or supplies for a safe transition home. The charity receives no government or United Way funding and relies entirely on private donors, corporate partners and charitable foundations.
