About This Business
The Islamic Centre of Oshawa is the first purpose-built mosque in the City of Oshawa, opened to the public in early June 2012. Established in the late 1970s as one of the first masaajids in Ontario, the centre serves a growing Muslim community from the heart of downtown Oshawa. It holds the five daily congregational prayers and three Jummah salats each Friday, with English talks before the first two. The centre also offers nikkah marriage services by an imam who is a licensed marriage officer, family counselling, evening children's Qur'an classes, regular programmes for adults and youth, and visits and tours for schools and visitors of all faiths.
