About This Business
A waterfront park on the shore of Lake Ontario at the Whitby-Oshawa boundary, on the grounds of Camp X - the Second World War secret agent training school and communications centre operated by the British Security Coordination. A memorial erected in 1984 honours the men and women who served there, and the site is recognized as a National Historic Site for its vital role in Allied intelligence, training over 500 special agents for missions behind enemy lines. No buildings remain, but visitors can walk the grounds and reflect on one of Canada's most important wartime landmarks.
