About This Business
First Milestones Education and Childcare is a private, premium childcare and education centre in central Whitby, operating since 2023 inside SmartCentres Plaza with easy access by major roads and public transit, designated parking and accessible parking. The centre blends Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches with play-based learning in a fun, secure setting, featuring a private state-of-the-art outdoor playground and an in-house kitchen that prepares a seasonally adjusted menu of meals and snacks from scratch daily. Special events such as career day, a petting zoo and field trips are part of the program, and all teachers hold Early Childhood Education degrees with First Aid and CPR training. The centre was named Best Daycare Centre in Whitby at the Canadian Choice Awards for both 2025 and 2026.
