Backyard Wedding Events is a country wedding venue in Seagrave, Ontario, run alongside Tudor Pines Boutique Bed & Breakfast on 1.5 acres of manicured grounds about ten minutes north of downtown Port Perry. The setting offers a private backyard with gardens, a decorated gazebo and signing table, an outdoor fire pit, and an indoor ceremony room in the luxury country home for smaller gatherings, with room for up to 100 guests outdoors. Two pre-planned all-inclusive microwedding packages are published on the official website: the Micro-Wedding Package ($3,000 plus HST) for up to 20 people and up to six hours, including the ceremony officiant, 40 appetizers and 40 non-alcoholic beverages, indoor washrooms, a decorated gazebo and signing table, six 6-foot rectangular tables, use of the fire pit, and an overnight stay for the couple in the Garden Suite with jacuzzi tub; and the Intimate Wedding Package ($5,000 plus HST) for up to 50 people and up to eight hours, with the officiant, 100 appetizers and 100 non-alcoholic beverages, upscale portable washrooms, the decorated gazebo and signing table, ten 6-foot rectangular tables, fire pit use, and the overnight Garden Suite stay. A Custom Wedding Package option covers any style and budget by consultation, with extras such as additional tables, upgraded chairs, chair skirts, table settings, decor, food, drinks, tents, extra guests, and overnight guest stays available on request. Flexible dates and times are offered; a non-refundable fee holds the wedding date and is deducted from the final cost, and a $100 referral bonus is paid for completed weddings. Ample free parking is available on site.
Latcham Centre
The Latcham Centre is a Township of Scugog-run event venue at 121 Queen Street in Port Perry. It offers a banquet hall with a stage and a full kitchen, with tables and chairs available for renters; the Township recommends bringing your own dishes and utensils. The hall is rented for private parties, business meetings, and special events through the Township of Scugog's facility rental process, which requires a signed rental contract and general liability insurance (two million dollars minimum; events with alcohol require five million dollars of coverage including liquor liability, plus a Special Occasions Permit).
Nestleton Waters Inn
Nestleton Waters Inn is a country inn and one-stop destination wedding venue in Nestleton Station, Scugog, set on a 93-acre family estate of forest and a spring-fed pond about an hour from Toronto. Weddings are hosted year round for up to 60 guests inside the estate, and from mid-May to mid-October the white marquis 'island' tent accommodates tented receptions for up to 200 guests on a stone piazza with a fenced patio, French wire furniture, lit fountain and forest views. A waterfront lawn ceremony site features a twelve-foot hand-forged wrought iron arbour, grecian urns with florals, terraced gardens and a small white bridge. Wedding packages are built in steps: a coordinator (RSVP counter, rehearsal, day-of setup and cleanup); the ceremony (traditional western, Chinese tea, East Indian mandap and more); rentals and decor (marquis island tent or estate lounge, choice of linens); exclusive use of the venue for one wedding a day with onsite parking and a farm field for photos; exclusive accommodation including the Cameo honeymoon suite with brunch and the carriage house for getting ready and overnight guests; and food and bar service with a choice of plated, buffet or food stations, a complimentary tasting with the chef, three entree choices in the invitation, allergies accommodated, and options to bring your own wine with no corkage fee, host a full bar, or run a non-alcoholic bar. Add-ons include wedding cake, cupcakes or a candy bar, DJ and music services, a photobooth, baby-tree favours, an officiant, photography and video, and transportation such as horse and carriage or a shuttle bus. Booking follows a quote, tour and booking process with a personalized package and photo brochure. The inn also offers themed suites and breakfast for romantic getaways and family vacation rentals.
