About This Business

Burns Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian congregation serving the Brooklin/Ashburn area of Whitby, Ontario, and a member congregation of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. Its mission is 'To love Christ and to share his love' — through worshipping God, introducing people to Jesus, helping others grow in faith, maturing in faith, and meeting the needs of the local and global community. The church meets in person each Sunday at 10:00 a.m., and records its Sunday services for upload to its YouTube channel, usually by the Wednesday after each Sunday. Burns supports many missions locally, across Canada and around the world: locally it supports Feed the Need Durham, the Paul J. Sullivan Centre, Renescent House, The Denise House, Evangel Hall and The Back Door Mission, and it also supports the national church fund Presbyterian Sharing and Presbyterian World Service & Development. Charities

100 Men of Scugog

100 Men of Scugog is a charitable giving circle of local men supporting Scugog-area charities. Members gather for one-hour meetings at the Port Perry Legion, where three local charities each give a five-minute presentation and answer questions; members then vote and each writes a $100 cheque directly to the winning charity. Every dollar goes straight to local charity — there are no committees, no bank account and no fees. Founded in January 2015, the group celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025 and has raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars for Scugog-area charities to date, including creating a bursary for Durham College students. New members are welcome at quarterly meetings.

100 Women Who Care Uxbridge

100 Women Who Care Uxbridge is a volunteer-run philanthropic giving circle in Uxbridge. Meetings last about 60 minutes (registration 7:00 pm, meeting 7:30-8:30 pm). One hundred percent of money raised goes directly to the selected charity, as the group is run entirely by volunteers.
