About This Business
Brock Community Health Centre is a non-profit charitable community health centre serving Brock Township — Beaverton, Cannington and Sunderland — and the surrounding areas. Its new 19,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Cannington, completed in June 2025 with a $16.6 million provincial investment, houses expanded primary care with eight larger clinic rooms, physiotherapy, diabetes education, intensive geriatric assessment, registered dietitian services with a teaching kitchen, social work, nutrition, and community development and health promotion programs, with foot care and dental suites added. The North Durham Family Health Team runs an Unattached Patient Program at the centre on Thursdays for residents without a primary care provider, and Dynacare offers lab and health services in the building Monday to Friday. A primary-care presence continues at the Beaverton clinic. All programs and services are free and confidential, offered virtually and on site. Primary care is currently at capacity with a wait list; community physiotherapy, diabetes education, geriatric assessment, social work and dietitian services are open to anyone in the community.
