About This Business

Beverley Turf Farms Ltd is a sod farm supplying Kentucky bluegrass sod on both a wholesale and retail basis. The business has been in operation since 1970, when Ernest Walterhouse began selling rolls of sod door to door, and it continues today under later ownership. Customers are welcome to visit the field and collect sod in person at a keen price, or arrange delivery to their door across Durham and the surrounding regions. Pick-up runs Monday to Friday, with the last collection at 3.30pm daily; callers are asked to ring 30 minutes ahead with their name, the amount required and their arrival time, paying in the field by cash, Visa or Mastercard. For deliveries, the farm asks for three to five days' notice.
