Whitby Chamber of Commerce

The Whitby Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit business organization established in 1928 to unite local professionals, advocate for their rights, compile resources and do business together. Through connection, learning and leadership it fosters a thriving business community, hosting more than 80 events throughout the year. The Chamber presents the annual Peter Perry & Business Achievement Awards gala, including the Peter Perry Award — Whitby's citizen-of-the-year honour, awarded since 1955 and named for town founder Peter Perry.

Whitby Historical Society

The Whitby Historical Society is a charitable, non-profit organization founded in 1967 to promote public interest in the history and heritage of Whitby and area through community outreach and educational programs for all ages. It operates the Lynde House Museum — offering interpretive tours and living-history activities — and maintains the Warren General Store, Clarissa Lynde's Heritage Kitchen Garden, an extensive artifact collection and an archive of Whitby's written and pictorial history. Programs include a monthly Tea and History Speakers series, History in the Park, Live History Theatre and children's museum camps. Museum hours: Monday 10:30am – 4:00pm; Tuesday 10:30am – 4:00pm; Wednesday Closed; Thursday 10:30am – 4:00pm; Friday 10:30am – 4:00pm; Saturday 11:30am – 4:00pm; Sunday Closed.

Whitby Lions Club

The Whitby Lions Club is a Whitby chapter of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service-club organization. The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 7:15 p.m., September through June, in the 2nd Floor Large Meeting Room of the Iroquois Park Sports Centre. Members run local fundraisers and service projects including an annual New Year's Dinner & Dance, an eyeglass collection program, and a club house at the local Safety Village.

Women's Multicultural Resource and Counselling Centre of Durham

The Women's Multicultural Resource and Counselling Centre of Durham Region (WMRCC) is a registered Canadian charity based in Pickering and serving Durham Region since 1993. It provides free, confidential, culturally responsive support to women, youth, children, gender-diverse people, and people with disabilities from diverse backgrounds, including crisis intervention, trauma-informed counselling, newcomer settlement support, youth and seniors programs, mentorship, diversity training, and economic empowerment initiatives such as the Worker Cooperative Development Program.
